The ministry began through the print work of Bible Baptist Church in 1988. In October 2003, God used the influence of Dr. Charles Keen to burden the heart of Dr. Al Stone and the people of Bible Baptist Church with a bold vision: to place the Gospel of John and the Book of Romans into every home in Canada.

What seemed impossible quickly became a testimony of God’s provision. The original goal was to produce 30,000 Scripture portions a year, yet within the first month that number had already been reached. At the end of the first year, more than 200,000 had been printed.

As the volume increased, the ministry outgrew several locations. In 2008, we moved into our current 60×80 facility, and in an incredible answer to prayer, the full cost was met only two days after moving in.

In September 2025 the Bearing Precious Seed Ministry celebrated with great emotion the completion of an over 20 year mission of reaching every home in Canada. A copy of the Gospel and John and book of Romans was placed in each of the 14.5 MILLION homes in Canada. The entire NATION received the Gospel. The first time in history that entire nation was covered with a John/Romans.

In February of 2026 The Canadian Gospel Project launched a new program using postcards to reach every home again driving people to a website where they can watch a series of videos that help those searching find peace, hope or purpose while at the same time finding Scriptures in multiple languages.
